Holding “stiddy” to God

In April 2016, the U.S. Treasury Dept. announced that several women would grace new designs for $5, $10, and $20 bills. Harriet Tubman, leader of the Underground Railroad effort that freed at least 300 slaves in the years leading up to the Civil War, will replace Andrew Jackson as the featured portrait on the front of the $20. Most schoolchildren can tell you who Harriet Tubman was.
